Report summary
Petrobras signed construction contracts for three new FPSOs on the giant Búzios pre-salt oil and gas field in the Santos Basin. ADNOC announced FID for the Lower Zakum LTDP-1 development in Abu Dhabi's offshore area. The only greenfield project was Equinor's deepwater Irpa gas field in Norway. Fewer final investment decisions will be taken in 2022 than we originally expected and only five are expected to be taken before the end of 2022. All are in Norway, with operators looking to take advantage of a temporary tax system that boosts post-tax project economics.
