The Claymore Area lies in the outer Moray Firth, 25 kilometres west of Piper. It includes the Claymore, Claymore East and Scapa oil fields.Claymore is a large field developed in the 1970s via a single steel production and drilling platform, along with a bridge-linked accommodation platform.
