Report summary
The Shandong refinery is the oldest operating alumina refinery in China. It is comprised of two lines. The first uses the lime-sintering process and the second is a low temperature Bayer route. The first line produces NMA and the second line SGA. The refinery produces the widest variety of NMA grades in China. The NMA is for domestic consumption and export to the medical, jewellery, ceramics and other industries.
