Report summary
Prominent Hill mines an iron-oxide copper gold mining operation in South Australia, approximately 650 kilometres northwest of Adelaide. The operation is 100% owned by BHP and consists of the Malu open pit, the Ankata underground mine and the Malu underground operation which commenced production in October 2014. Ore is treated in a conventional plant to produce a high grade Cu-Au-Ag concentrate.
