Report summary
The New Liberty is a conventional open pit operation utilising drill, load and haul mining methods. The mine is located approximately 100km from the city of Monrovia, Liberia at an average 200 metres above sea level. Ore is processed using both gravity and carbon-in-leach (CIL) circuits. The plant design capacity is 1.1Mt/a.The final product is gold dore that is transported to the refinery for further processing. The first gold pour was announced in June 2015. Commercial production was declared in March 2016.
