Report summary
The strong performance in the zinc price late last month was followed by profit taking which took the price to $2726/t at one point. However, in the second half of the month fresh investor interest helped the price recover some its gains to end June just over $2900/t. Meanwhile, the tightness in the concentrate market has shown no sign of easing. Spot treatment charges have continued to fall and have touched $0/t with mine to trader tenders for delivery in the coming months hitting double-digit negative TCs.
