Report summary

In March, prices for spodumene and lithium chemicals witnessed an uptick in prices after a year-long downward trend. With demand recovering from the automotive sector, uptick in prices continued well into April. We expect prices to improve in near term due to increasing demand from the downstream market, however, the upcoming supply from new refining assets, especially in China, will dampen any strong price rebounds.
