Report summary
Operated by Nyrstar the Auby zinc smelter is located 30km south of Lille in northern France and uses the roast-leach-electrowin process. Current equivalent slab zinc production capacity at the plant is 160kt/a. The smelter is unusual in the fact that it makes zinc cathode as its final product without further casting into ingots and jumbo block.
