The seasonal fall off in power demand is the primary culprit behind rising natural gas storage injections. But it’s not the only reason. Contrary to market signalling via low gas prices, supply is rebounding again. A steady rise of storage injections is expected as we approach the fall shoulder season. This weekly natural gas commodity report seeks to explore: • How long will cooling degree days stay above normal? • Where is US gas production rebounding? • How much will the storage surplus contract in coming weeks?
