Report summary
Rolleston is a large thermal coal producing mine in Queensland's Bowen Basin supplying both domestic and export markets. The mine is located in the south-west Bowen Basin 16 kilometres west of the town of Rolleston and 415 kilometres from the port of Gladstone. The original mining area is covered by ML70307 while an additional license, ML 70415, covers operations in the expansion area. The mine is majority owned and operated by Glencore.
