Russia is set to emerge as a significant contributor to global ethylene capacity additions over the next 7 years - with a forecast 6.8 million tons of new grassroots ethylene capacity additions, second only to China through this period. Russia’s ethylene industry has pivoted recently from being a relatively small and largely domestically focussed industry towards a growing superpower that is expected to deliver some of the largest new ethylene plants in the world in the next few years.
