Amrit is a Principal in Wood Mackenzie’s downstream consulting team based in London.
With 10 years of analytics and consulting experience in the energy sector, Amrit has led teams responsible for forecasting crude oil & refined product market fundamentals and broader commodity prices and has conducted studies on refinery competitiveness & feedstock selection, energy transition & carbon abatement strategy, energy policy & regulation, geopolitics, capital projects cost estimation, and procurement & supply chain optimization for both oil & gas and power & renewables clients. He has also worked as a software product manager for Woodmac’s energy supply chain data tools.
His work has focused on EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and North America and his clients include oil majors, national oil companies, financial institutions & investors, power utilities, renewable power producers and developers, and engineering, procurement and construction contractors.
Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie Amrit worked as a petroleum market analyst at ESAI Energy in Boston and OpenOil in Berlin; he also spent time in Uganda, Nigeria, South Sudan, Libya and Iraq advising government officials and journalists on oil sector governance and financial reporting best practices. He is a proficient German speaker.
