Anthony is the global head of Wood Mackenzie’s thermal coal markets research for the Metals and Mining group. He has over 25 years of experience covering fuel supply, exploration, project and consultant management, regulatory, stakeholder engagement and market dynamics experience across coal and power generation industries.
Part of our global markets research team, Anthony is responsible for leading global thermal coal research. He works closely with a global team of analysts to drive world class market research for the global and US thermal coal trade.
Anthony originally joined Wood Mackenzie as a principal analyst, covering global metallurgical coal markets. He also spent time as Wood Mackenzie’s Metals and Mining Emissions Research Lead.
Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie in 2018, Anthony worked for an independent power producer in Calgary, Canada, in their corporate development group. There he was involved in advancing an underground export coking coal mine, a 500 MW coal-fired power plant and procuring coal for a 150 MW power plant. He began his career with a large Canadian utility, eventually working in a management role at Highvale Mine, Canada’s largest surface thermal coal operation.
