Corporate CCUS benchmarking 2024
Report summary
CCUS is becoming an increasingly important part of oil and gas companies’ energy transition strategies. Close to half of the companies in our corporate coverage now have CCUS projects in their portfolios. The Majors continue to build their leadership position. They have doubled their planned pipeline of opportunities over the last year to capture a quarter of planned global capacity. But despite the growing pipeline of opportunities, CCUS still has a small impact on reducing emissions. On average, planned capture capacity is only 25% of Scope 1&2 emissions.
