Savage River iron ore mine
Report summary
Savage River is a small capacity mine in the northwest of Tasmania, Australia. The pellet-producing operation consists of a mine, concentrator, pipeline and pelletizing plant. Grange Resources acquired complete ownership of Savage River through its 2009 merger with Australian Bulk Minerals. With the North Pit deepening and maturing, the ore is now mined from the Centre Pit. Grange recently announced a favourable Definitive feasibility study to move underground in North Pit, pending final approval from the board.
